Finally Universal!!!

So my entire program I have really wanted to go to universal and see harry potter world. So on Tuesday I went to Universal Islands of Adventures with my friend Alex and her boyfriend Shawn. We took the trolly all the way there and we had a blast. First we went to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and went on the Hogwarts ride twice then had some butter beer which is delicious. Then we headed over to Jurasic Park then Alex started to feel really sick so she decided to leave with her boyfriend because her and her boyfriend have season passes. So I spent the rest of my day alone, which made me miss my family cuz every one else was with their families. but i lived and ended up having a decent time. However Universal needs to seriously work on their theming. Most of the lands you actually feel like you are actually in Dr. Suess world, or hogwarts, or a comic book, but the rides lack a story. I feel that when you ride the hulk roller coaster, wheather or not you have seen the movie or read the comics you should understand the story of the ride, which I did not. They often show videos to explain the story in the que lines, but since the lines are loud or move fast you often miss the story. Also from jurasic park you can see hogwarts! bad themeing. Also, in the que line for the hogwarts ride you can see part of the ride building.. bad themeing! But, overall I had fun, just its not as good as disney.

Wow its been a long time

Hi guys it has been some time since i have had time to update my blog. It's easter so Happy Easter to you all. Why am I writing on easter you ask? Because I called in sick, because im sick and I can't possibly imagine working till 5 am when i am sick. Yes I work till 5am! This past week has been crazy I worked till 4am three nights in a row, then 3:15, then 3:45am. Last night I went home early because I wasn't feeling well. Today I just slept and lounged around, dyed easter eggs with my roomie, and watched burlesque.

Since my program is done in 26 days!!! I am trying to have as much fun as possible. I've been to the parks a lot, resort hoping, and out to dinner. I have also planned to go to the mall tomorrow to get a formal dress for our formal on may 2 (also Gracies 9th birthday) and then on tuesday I am going to universal. I am really excited to see harry potter world. I guess I'll post some pictures of my recent adventures.

Water Park, Class, No Hoop De Doo Revue, and EPCOT

So today I had off and at 11am I went to Blizzard Beach with my friend Kayla from work. yes we have the same name and love to call each other by out names cuz it is fun. I have never been to a disney water park, so I was thinking like everything else disney it would be amazing, like nothing i'd ever seen before. So its not that great I mean its nice a lot like Six Flag's water park back home, but not that over the top exciting like I expect disney to be. Still it was fun, we went on a few rides, ate some food, and headed home. Below is the picture of Kayla and I on the way home:)

After the water park I went to my weekly disney heritage class where today I learned all about EPCOT. It was great and our guest presenter was really funny. Next I was suppose to go to Hoop De Doo Revue but everyone bailed on me. So instead I went to EPCOT with Cheryl, Ryan, and Justina. Below are some of our adventures!

A Day Off at Hollywood Studios!

So yesterday I had a day off but it rained all day. At night I had to go to my disney heritage class, which was a field trip to magic kingdom. It was pouring and wet but the tour was interesting and fun to learn.

Then today it was sunny. I went to marketing you in the morning then Cheryl and I had lunch at olive garden. Then cheryl and I went to hollywood studios and met up with our friend markus! Then we saw the beauty and the beast show, great movie ride, muppet 3D, lights motors action extreme stunt show, and tower of terror. It was a blast. At night we went to the Patterson event where we got free food and danced our butts off. We also got to meet mickey and minnie! It was such a fun day! P.S to Quintin who is sick Get better little buddy!Below are pictures of Cheryl, Markus, Norma, and I at Carnevale the Patterson Event! The book Markus is holding is the guideline to his life, he bought it today and it is fabulous!

Megan, Chris, and the gang come to Visit!

Sorry I haven't written in a while, life has been crazy busy. Well last week Chris and his friends Tim and Robin, and my friend Megan came to visit. On the first day we went to downtown disney and at night Chris and I had a date night at Cirque du Soleil, it was amazing! Then we all went out in Downtown orlando to have some fun on St. Patricks day. The next day we went to EPCOT and got to see some countries, eat at Italy(DELICIOUS), and go on mission space. I left the group to head to work till 4am! Don't worry thats typical so I handeled it fine. Then I met up with megan the next day at Disney's Hollywood Studios. We got to see and do almost everything. Megan was so scared to go on the tower of terror. I convinced her to go and she was shaking and wanted to get off the ride. By the time we started to drop she was like this is great we should go again. So we went on it twice in a row and then rode rockin roller coaster. We ended our night with the fabulous fantasmic!!! We loved it soo much! The next day we went to see Tim's sister Beth at Sea World. Beth is a trainer at the sea lion show so we went and saw it. It was really funny and we all had fun. After the show we got pictures with a walrus who was huge!! Her name was Slow Poke. At the end of that day Tim and Robin headed to the air port and Chris, Megan, and I checked in at Pop Century for two more days. The next day we went to Magic Kingdom and wore ourselves out. The last day we went to animal kingdom but had to leave at 3:00 so megan and chris could catch their flight home. It was a great vacation, but now Im back to reality working till 2,3, or even 5 in the morning, oh the life of a disney cast member!(Pictures will not load I am mad, so this post will be pictureless)

A Visit from the Rents!

This week my parents visited!! We were sad that not everyone of the family could come, but happy that at least Mom and Dad could come. When they flew in, they picked me up at my apartment, we checked into our hotel, and then we went to down town disney to have dinner at earl of sandwhich! Best sandwhich place ever.
On their first offical day in Florida we went grocery shopping, flea markets shopping, to animal kingdom lodge, to the polonesian,and had a lot of fun. The next day we woke up early to get to magic kingdom in time for our 8:30 am Keys to the Kingdom tour. It is a five hour walking tour of magic kingdom, both
ckstage and onstage. Mom and Dad were really excited to see backstage, especially the utilidors, where I walk every day. After our tour we saw the country bear jamboree and then it was time for me to go to work. Mom and Dad stopped by and took pictures of me working, it was halarious. Then after work we headed back to the hotel for the night.
Then the next day we went to EPCOT for the flower and garden festival, we took lots of pictures of topiaries. At EPCOT we went on lots of rides and saw many countries and even met some "checklisters" while waiting for illuminations. For those of you who don't know a check lister is someone who usually views disney as a once in a life time opportunity and then checks it off the list never to go again. Also checklisters usually research the best ways to get around and such and have a physical list of everything they must do in the exact order. These checklisters that we met were very nice, the Dad was asking so many questions. We tried to remind them to enjoy the atmostphere and make sure to see fantasmic, which was oddly not on their list. After illuminations we headed home to sleep exhausted after a long day.
On my parents last day in Florida we went to downtown disney, out for lunch, and got some groceries. They sadly had to leave and i took a nap right before my class. I was sad to see them go, but after class I went to magic kingdom and hung out with Cheryl and some of her friends. It was a blast and a very good distraction. Well back to reality untill next week when Christopher and Megan visit!!!!ba

Busy Busy Busy

Hey guys,

My job is starting to get slightly better. Im getting to know my coworkers and starting to like it there more. I've met some great people working till 2 am in the morning, but after work we sometimes do fun stuff like go to IHOP and eat pancakes! I only have off two days a week and I make the most of them. This monday Grandma and Granpa are coming from Tampa to spend the day with me. I think we will go to Downtown disney and go up on the big ballon. Also do some shopping at the boardwalk and have a nice lunch together. Then next week mom and dad come to visit, which I am soooo excited about. It will be nice to see them and nice to have some time off of work. Then a couple weeks after mom and dad visit, Chris, Megan, and chris' friends Robin and Tim are coming to visit. That will be a blast.

Anyways last week I didn't write so i thought i would update you. I went to clearwater beach with Sara, Ed, and Andrew and we had a great time, but I got sunburned really badly. Its now blisterd and starting to pop and then peel, really gross! Then on Tuesday after class Cheryl and her friend Markus and I went to animal kingdom. We saw the nemo show and lion king show and went on expedition everest and dinosaur. I loved going on Dinosaur cuz Cheryl was hiding and Markus was yelling and screaming with jazz hands lol. Our picture was quite halarious.

Work this week has been okay, I work till midnight, 1am, or 2am every single night. Its great once the guest leave. My biggest pet peave is guests who speak english fluently yelling one word questions at me like magnets? magnets? Come on people please form complete scentences. Anyway better get ready for work.
