A Visit from the Rents!

This week my parents visited!! We were sad that not everyone of the family could come, but happy that at least Mom and Dad could come. When they flew in, they picked me up at my apartment, we checked into our hotel, and then we went to down town disney to have dinner at earl of sandwhich! Best sandwhich place ever.
On their first offical day in Florida we went grocery shopping, flea markets shopping, to animal kingdom lodge, to the polonesian,and had a lot of fun. The next day we woke up early to get to magic kingdom in time for our 8:30 am Keys to the Kingdom tour. It is a five hour walking tour of magic kingdom, both
ckstage and onstage. Mom and Dad were really excited to see backstage, especially the utilidors, where I walk every day. After our tour we saw the country bear jamboree and then it was time for me to go to work. Mom and Dad stopped by and took pictures of me working, it was halarious. Then after work we headed back to the hotel for the night.
Then the next day we went to EPCOT for the flower and garden festival, we took lots of pictures of topiaries. At EPCOT we went on lots of rides and saw many countries and even met some "checklisters" while waiting for illuminations. For those of you who don't know a check lister is someone who usually views disney as a once in a life time opportunity and then checks it off the list never to go again. Also checklisters usually research the best ways to get around and such and have a physical list of everything they must do in the exact order. These checklisters that we met were very nice, the Dad was asking so many questions. We tried to remind them to enjoy the atmostphere and make sure to see fantasmic, which was oddly not on their list. After illuminations we headed home to sleep exhausted after a long day.
On my parents last day in Florida we went to downtown disney, out for lunch, and got some groceries. They sadly had to leave and i took a nap right before my class. I was sad to see them go, but after class I went to magic kingdom and hung out with Cheryl and some of her friends. It was a blast and a very good distraction. Well back to reality untill next week when Christopher and Megan visit!!!!ba

Busy Busy Busy

Hey guys,

My job is starting to get slightly better. Im getting to know my coworkers and starting to like it there more. I've met some great people working till 2 am in the morning, but after work we sometimes do fun stuff like go to IHOP and eat pancakes! I only have off two days a week and I make the most of them. This monday Grandma and Granpa are coming from Tampa to spend the day with me. I think we will go to Downtown disney and go up on the big ballon. Also do some shopping at the boardwalk and have a nice lunch together. Then next week mom and dad come to visit, which I am soooo excited about. It will be nice to see them and nice to have some time off of work. Then a couple weeks after mom and dad visit, Chris, Megan, and chris' friends Robin and Tim are coming to visit. That will be a blast.

Anyways last week I didn't write so i thought i would update you. I went to clearwater beach with Sara, Ed, and Andrew and we had a great time, but I got sunburned really badly. Its now blisterd and starting to pop and then peel, really gross! Then on Tuesday after class Cheryl and her friend Markus and I went to animal kingdom. We saw the nemo show and lion king show and went on expedition everest and dinosaur. I loved going on Dinosaur cuz Cheryl was hiding and Markus was yelling and screaming with jazz hands lol. Our picture was quite halarious.

Work this week has been okay, I work till midnight, 1am, or 2am every single night. Its great once the guest leave. My biggest pet peave is guests who speak english fluently yelling one word questions at me like magnets? magnets? Come on people please form complete scentences. Anyway better get ready for work.

Animal Kingdom

Hey guys,

Today I went to Animal Kingdom. I was suppose to go with my friend Alex but he backed out last minute. So instead I planned to go on my own, but I met a guy named Chris on the bus. He was on his own too cuz he was going to visit his girlfriend. So we went on the safari ride, mount everest, dinosaur, walked some trails, and had some great junk food. I'll put some pictures below, but I wanted to let you know that Im starting to hate my job. I am so sick of doing retail I've done it for years hate it and will always hate it. If its slower its fun to talk to guests and help people get things from the back, however I hate register and hate when its super busy, because it gives you no time to breathe. Sadly, I have yet to encounter a nice boss, but I have meet some awesome fellow cast members. Well here are the pictures from animal kingdom, the giraffe ones are for gracie!

Good Bye Toon Town, Hello Arron Rogers!

So today my roomies Bianca, Laura, Maryia, and my friend Cheryl and I went to go see Arron Rogers at Magic Kingdom. Last night he helped the packers win the super bowl so he was there today in a mini parade to celebrate the victory of their MVP. We were all so excited to see a famous foot ball player. We took lots of pictures and had a blast. Next we went to toon town because next week it will be gone forever to make room for the new fantasy land expansion. We took a lot of pictures in toon town as well because it will be gone soon. Then we went on the pooh ride and the pirates ride, but cut our day short because it got really cold and rainy. Work, Work, Work, Play!

Wow, life is really busy here. I usually work about 5 days in a row and then I have two days off. Usually Monday and Tuesday, which is also when I have classes, starting next week. I am getting the hang of things at work and really enjoy making the magic. I work at the emporium on main street at magic kingdom. Sure parades pass by, but I usually don't get to see any of it. I love giving kids stickers, its amazing how much of a smile you get just for a dinky stickey with a mickey on it. The best parents i met so far gave their two little girls a charm for their charm bracelet every day that they made good choices and behaved. I thought that was such a cute idea. I went to hollywood studios yesterday with my friends Alex, Cheryl, roomie Laura, and roomie Maryia. It was so much fun, we rode rockin roller coaster, tower of terror, back lot tour, met lotso, and lots of other fun stuff. Today I work and monday and tuesday im off again! Yeah, so Cheryl and I are going to animal kingdom on Monday! I miss you all!

What a Busy Week!

Hello Everyone!

This week was crazy! I had traditions and lots and lots of traing. I've been to EPCOT and Magic Kingdom to play in the park with my roomates. I've met lots of awesome people and am having a great time. My costume is alright and I will put a picture below. My roomies and I often have dance parties in the living room and photo shoots as well I will put some of those pictures below as well. I'm starting to miss home a bit especially after I saw illuminations with out my family. I had no body to sing the walk out song with, my roomies didnt know all the words... but anyways Im having a blast and can't wait till I get more days to play in the parks! Oh and a special shout out to my niece Gracie, great job at your competition. Im sad I couldn't be there, but I will see you dance when I get home.

Day Two

Okay I wont be writting everyday, but lately I have time so I will when I have time. Today we went to a housing meeting where they talked about rules and regulations, how the buildings are run, busses, work, ect. for about 2ish hours. It was long and mostly boring and obvious. Some of it was helpful, but most wasn't. The top ten things people get terminated for amused me I think it was drugs and alcohol, threats, vandalism, threats, some other stuff too. Then I chilled out in the afternoon and at like 2 ish we went to walmart. I went to get an extension cord and power strip and mangaged to forget to get both of those items. I did get some shoes and some stamps so postcards will be coming soon. Then after walmart I made some dinner and Im hoping that tonight I can skype with Christopher for the first time, so lets hope it works okay. Tomorrow is traditions(a lot like an orientation) and I have to catch a bus at 6:45am to get there on time with my roomate Bianca. Hope tomorrow is fun and I hope to go to EPCOT as soon as I'm done with traditions. Wish me luck!
